I was recently commissioned to make a short film to help promote the activities put on for Sheltered Housing tenants in Renfrewshire. I was expecting tea dances and Vera Lynn, what I got was speedboats, queens batons, zoomba and much more. What really made the experience fantastic was the interviews with the tenants, all optimistic, all making the most of the activities, and all with a hint of the cheek about them. This has to be one of the projects I'm most happy with, the participants were a pleasure, and there is a serious message underneath all the fun, breaking isolation, reducing trips and falls, combatting dementia through social interaction. Sally and her Sheltered Housing Officers are doing inspiring and innovative work.
