Newshot Productions films rolled out in 'I Am Me Scotland' schools pack launch.

Primary 5 and Primary 6 pupils accross Scotland will soon be watching two recent Newshot Production films as part of the 'I Am Me Scotland' anti-bullying pack which is being introducted to schools this spring.

'Judged' follows the story of Chloe, a young girl who's dyslexia has went undetected until she starts at a new school. It was shot in Autumn 2015 around Paisley with a brilliant first time lead performance from Caitlin Johnstone. The film-maker was Paul Russell, Gavin Sinclair the director assisted by Oliver Fynn-Brand. The project was supported by Kibble Education and Care Centre, Renfrewshire Council and Police Scotland.

'Happiness Heroes' see's Macey tackle active and casual discrimination against hidden disabilities, in this case Epilepsy. Macey has learned about 'Happiness Heroes' at School and attempts to educate her Dad. This was scripted and shot in two weeks, at the start of February 2016. This film was a collaboration between Epilepsy Scotland and I Am Me Scotland, funded by Awards for All and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service. The film-maker was Paul Russell, Gavin Sinclair the director and Pamela Spence the writer / producer. A book was also distributed as part of the Happiness Heroes pack.
