Spring 2018 voluntary work

The PTST Homeless footballers do their drills.

Usually around this time of year when things are typically a bit quieter I donate some spare production time to a local good cause, and as such put the call out for suggestions.. this year however the suggestions came in early, and unprompted. I recently donated equivalent to a days production to the Partick Thistle Supporters Trust to make a short video, as required by a funding application they were submitting to support their Homeless Football group, I met the crew at Petershill Park and made a short film of them training, playing and explaining the benefits of the project. Fingers crossed it has the desired impact on the funding application. https://ptct.org.uk/homeless-football/

Keith Lyle, fundraiser, on a training run.

In addition I shall also be donating some production time to Jak's Den, a charity set up by the late Jak Trueman, who passed away aged just 15 following a brave battle with T-cell Lymphoma.

Despite knowing his own time was limited Jak's thoughts turned to how to help other young people with cancer, their siblings and parents, and make some special memories, provide respite and counselling at a difficult time. I will be donating a short film to raise awareness and assist with fundraising at the charity's ball in February. http://www.teamjak.org.uk Both worthy projects I'm sure you'll agree.
