Piece of cake...

On a recent shoot I was asked if I would be able to set up a studio for a local SME to use for their social media channel. This kind of drew on my skills from the Jessops days, the University technician days, and current shooting experience. The job involved designing, speccing and installing camera and lighting kit for a small studio space, on a modest budget. I recommended black light killing blinds, 2 x Panasonic 4K cameras, overhead stand and mounting head, tripod and slider, and a multi-head CFD softbox kit, which arrived and I set up earlier this week before the inaugral shoot today. I took a back seat so as to allow the people who will be using the kit to spend time with it and to pick my brains whilst I was there. All went really well, the pictures looked great, the staff got on great with the kit, and I've helped to raise their in-house production values a fair bit (they were off to a good start to be fair) So there you go, it's not just shooting and editing that I can turn my hand to. If you have a need for an in-house video set up let me know, and I can consult on what you need and help with getting it all set up etc. (With thanks to Ian Palmer / The Marketing Cafe)
